The thing with consistency is that it is hard.
It is the second day of my own challenge and I already have this topic on a text (life is fun, right?).
There are days that are particularly hard and all you want is to sleep or rest or mindlessly scroll down your feed. But then you remember that you set a goal for yourself. A goal that only depends on you to be accomplished. For me to write one text for 30 days I only need to sit down and write. Simple. But not always.
I guess that one thing that helps with consistency is not to think too much. You just go and do it. I was thinking “what am I even going to write about today? The day was not good and I have nothing particularly interesting to say”. Then I just picked up the phone and started to type. One word after the other.
And maybe by doing this in some areas of your life you can expand it, until you find consistency on your consistency.
My next target for example is exercise. I’m having a massive difficulty moving my body, and I do understand that to keep a sharp mind I also need to keep my body in a good shape. So maybe I can apply the same principle that I’m having to writing to my exercises. It may even become a text down the line.
Anyway, if you are struggling to be consistent in something, don’t worry, you are not alone (or lazy or a bad person). You are just struggling to get this particular action in your life. Baby steps, and consistency will come.
